All students must wear proper dance attire with long hair up for dance classes. Students in street clothing and loose hair will be asked to sit out of their first class, after that the parents/guardians will receive a text to pick up their child.

Hillman Dance Studio will be changing to specific colored attire based on age group for the 2025- 2026 dance season

Dance attire dress code Kinder dance light pink bodysuits, ALL junior levels lavender bodysuits, ALL intermediate levels marine bodysuits or tank tops and ALL teen, senior or advanced levels are black bodysuits or tank tops. They are to wear this to ALL their classes and or privates.

Tight colors are ballet-ballet pink, kinder dance-ballet pink, lyrical, modern, contemporary, jazz, tap, hip-hop and musical theater are the tan color. All Acro classes will wear the footless tan tights unless its a full pants costume.

shoe colors are, kinder dance and all ballet classes are ballet pink or for boys black ballet shoes, jazz and musical theatre black jazz shoes or if their costume isn't all black I will be asking you to purchase tan jazz shoe, tap- black tap shoes, hip-hop is high top sneakers, modern and contemporary is the beige half sole shoes. All Acro classes are barefoot.

I will not be supplying cups for the 2026/2027 season and beyond, so make sure your dancer has a water bottle.

A student must be the age of their level by December 31st of that year in order to go into that level. I may put them in a higher age level class, if they are beyond their years. They need to start in their own level and then my staff and I can decide on what to do after the first 4-6 weeks at the beginning of the season.

Dance fees are due before the last day of the month, late payment will result in additional fees.

The monthly fee is not affected by severe weather events (acts of god), holidays, vacations, bus cancellations, injury or flu/cold sickness. If a class is canceled by Ms. Giny or her staff for sickness or vehicle breakdown that class will be made up. Refunds are not available. Parents please put in your reminders to pay all dance fees each month by the 30th. This way I'm not having to constantly remind you. Please also check the website or put down the correct amount for fees as some didn't pay the right amount this past season.

Classes may be canceled for severe weather events at Ms. Giny’s discretion on bus cancelation days. Hillman Dance Studio’s policy of always canceling classes due to school bus cancelations is no longer as relevant as it once was as busses are often canceled for non-severe weather and events in Manitoba.

Recital and competition costumes are non-refundable and must be paid in advance of ordering. Hillman Dance Studio staff will NOT be measuring children for sizing.

Any alterations or repairs required are the sole responsibility of the parents or guardians. If any costume is too small it may be returned if the larger size is available at the sole cost of the parent or guardian. When I order costumes, some may not fit as everybody is different and they make the costumes from one pattern for each size. Costume fees and childs measurements are DUE by Saturday October 31st, 2026

*New studio rule* If a student misses more than 3 classes per month they will not be attending the festivals that season. That will also be put towards if they are doing a solo or duet that season and any future solos or duets. I need full commitment from everyone, unless I've been notified they are ill or away on a holiday.

All problems and issues are to be discussed with Ms. Giny. Complaints given to student helpers or adolescent staff are not acceptable and will not be tolerated.

2026/2027 Fees Dance and Sickness Policy
If your child has a fever, vomiting, mucousy cough, yellow nasal mucus, or has stayed home from school because they were ill, they should NOT be at dance!

BASED ON 3-4 CLASSES PER MONTH

30 minute class- $33 per month- Kinderdance

1st 45 minute class- $45 per month, 2nd 45 minute class-$42 per month 3rd class or more 45 minute classes-$38 per month
(E.g) if your child takes 1 class its $45 per month, 2 classes per month is $87 per month, 3 classes per month $125 4 classes per month $163 and so on

1st 1 hour class- $47 per month
2nd 1 hour class- $44 per month
3 or more 1 hour classes- $39 per month
(E.g) if your child takes 1 class per month its $47 per month, 2 classes per month is $91 per month 3 classes per month is $130 per month, 4 classes per month $169 per month and so on

1.75 hour class- $52 per month (ADVANCED BALLET)
1.5 hour class- $50 per month
1.25 hour class- $48 per month

Privates
(PER 1 hour lessons) $40 for solos
(PER 1 hour) PER student for duets $22
(PER 1 hour) PER student for trios $16
Parents pay me (Giny Hillman) directly then I pay their teacher

10% discount for families with 2 or more children taking 2 or more classes each
Basement or studio rental for dance families is $18 per hour
Anyone not a Hillman studio family is $28 per hour

IF MISSING TOO MANY IN GROUPS THEY WILL NOT ATTEND)
